We were delighted to host a client seminar on 23 May in the Legacy Chambers function room, on the topic of “The New Industrial Relations Landscape Following the 2019 Federal Election”. Thank you so much to our guests for being there. It was a great turn out.

The seminar was also a valedictory opportunity to farewell Brian Williamson, our firm’s ‘founding father’ and ever-loyal ally to our clients.  Brian started WilliamsonLegal in 2010, which changed its name to WilliamsonBarwick in 2016 with the addition of Adrian Barwick as director.

Brian graduated as a solicitor in 1981 and has specialised in workplace relations over a career spanning 38 years, almost entirely acting for employers.  In his parting remarks, Brian thanked his wife Julie, and Sandra, our steadfast office manager, who will also be retiring soon.  Brian wished Adrian and the team all the best for the future, as they seek to serve our fantastic clients.

Adrian expressed his gratitude for Brian’s support and counsel and acknowledged Brian’s innovative approach to the practice of law.  Adrian is looking forward to building on the solid foundations laid by Brian.

Brian is finishing up this week, and is looking forward to travelling extensively around Australia and overseas as he transitions from structured to unstructured work.
We know you join us in wishing him bon voyage!

Adrian is now the sole Director, supported by our great team.  Please check our website for their details.  As always, let us know if we can assist you in any way.
